Bloodworks Northwest (Puget Sound Blood Center) announces the availability of two full time positions for qualified physicians with expertise in transfusion medicine and related fields.
Transfusion Medicine Faculty has two positions available on a 12 month basis as a Professor (without tenure), Associate Professor (without tenure) or Assistant Professor (without tenure). These positions provide direct medical input and patient care as well as medical and administrative coordination in the delivery of specific transfusion medicine, blood collections and apheresis programs of Bloodworks Northwest. There would be particular interest in candidates with experience in following areas: therapeutic apheresis, blood components collection, patient blood management, cellular therapy, genomic medicine and general transfusion medicine. Duties will be chosen based on candidates' areas of interest and expertise. Successful applicants will be engaged in providing education to community providers, University physician trainees and students. Candidates with suitable interests and qualifications will also be considered for appointments in the University of Washington School of Medicine, at a faculty rank commensurate with the level of academic experience and achievement.
Applicants should have an M.D. or D.O., and board certification or eligibility in transfusion medicine or hematology boards (American Board of Pathology or foreign equivalent), or equivalent experience.
