UNOS Protocol Titer (anti A)

Also Known as (Alias) Anti-A titer for Kidney transplant
Indications Determination of a kidney transplant candidate or recipient’s isohemagglutinin anti-A titer. The titer results assist in monitoring of anti-A isohemagglutinin levels to prevent damage to the transplanted kidney. Titers performed on group B or group O recipient receiving group A/A2 kidney.
Method Serial test tube dilution methodology; UNOS protocol using DTT reducing reagent
Test Information Isohemagglutinins anti-A IgG titers
Sample Requirements EDTA tube. Serum separator gel tube is not acceptable.
Requested Volume 1 full 7 ml EDTA sample
Minimum Volume or Pediatric volume Minimum volume: 1 full 7 ml EDTA sample
Pediatric: 1 full 3 ml EDTA sample; neonate: 2 full 0.5 ml EDTA microtainers
