Frequently Asked Questions:

THERE IS AN URGENT NEED FOR BLOOD IN OUR REGION. Keep our community blood supply circulating locally by scheduling an appointment at Bloodworks Northwest Donor Centers and blood drives near you.

Who will be supplying the blood for patients in Pierce County?

Bloodworks will be the new, exclusive provider of blood components to MultiCare Health System starting March 1. CRBS, Bloodworks, and MultiCare are working closely on this transition to provide the best possible service for patients and families. Volunteer blood donors are the only source of blood, so it’s important you keep giving locally by joining the donor community with Bloodworks now and in the future.

How do I book an appointment to donate?

To book an appointment with Bloodworks Northwest, please call 800-398-7888 or schedule online here.

Will I have to create new account with Bloodworks?

Yes, all donors must create a new donor portal account with Bloodworks the first time you donate. You will need to create a new account the first time you donate. However, the experience should be very similar to what you’re used to!

Will my past donations with CRBS count towards my Bloodworks lifetime donations?

Yes! You can add your donation total after your first donation with Bloodworks or immediately if you’ve donated with Bloodworks before and already have a donor account. Please contact 800-398-7888 to update your donation history and book future appointments.

Will there still be blood drives near me?
