Every day, volunteers play a critical role in Bloodworks NW’s life-saving mission!

By volunteering your time with Bloodworks, you are part of the lifesaving connection that delivers blood to patients in need. You can take pride in knowing that your time is as vital to our mission.

I have found Volunteer Resources to be an amazing partner over the years in helping us match volunteers with their skill sets and our departments. They have ever so competently and patiently helped me to determine how volunteers can support the work of the President’s Office.
-Maxine Sellers, Assistant to the President

Our volunteer callers provide a vital service to our department, reminding donors of their upcoming appointments. This allows our callers to focus their time on recruiting more donors in order to keep a stable blood supply.
-Kristi Bruskland, Supervisor Contact Center

Over my 5 years at Bloodworks I have been lucky enough to work closely with volunteers. At first, this was simply standing side by side at events educating the community about various blood donation opportunities. Not only did I recruit with volunteers at our booths, but we met one of our most valued team members who transitioned from a volunteer to Bloodworks Bio Study Coordinator! We are now partnering with volunteers and interns across all of our Bloodworks Bio areas ranging from the Cord Blood Program to Biological Products Laboratory support.
-Evan Delay, Manager Bloodworks Bio Program
