Hunter Goodman served as Secretary of the Washington State Senate from 2013-2017 being elected unanimously three times. Prior to this he served in the Washington State Attorney General’s office from 2005-2013 in several roles including Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Governmental Affairs. During his 7 year battle with cancer he received countless, lifesaving blood transfusions and was a dedicated advocate for blood donations. Join Hunter’s family and friends as we honor his remarkable legacy of public service and “Fight On!” spirit with this special blood drive. Nearly 1/3 of all donated blood goes to support people with cancer and other blood disorders.
Please watch Hunter’s story and sign up to donate blood.
New to donating blood?
Giving blood is easy! It takes about an hour and every pint donated helps local patients. Most people in good health, at least 18 years old, and weigh at least 110 pounds may donate whole blood every 56 days. See who can donate.
Who does my blood donation help?
Bloodworks supports hospitals across the Pacific Northwest. Your donation is key to supporting hospitals and local Northwest individuals, like patients being treated for cancer, surgery, or trauma. Nearly 1/3 of all donated blood and platelets supports patients with cancer and other bleeding disorders.
What if I can’t make the drive?
If you can’t make the drive, you can still make a donation in Hunter’s memory at any Bloodworks locations throughout Western Washington and Oregon. Use the sponsor code HGG when you arrive for your donation.
If you have any questions or would like assistance making an appointment, give us a call at 1-800-398-7888 or email [email protected].
