Bloodworks Northwest Laboratories

Closure of Hemostasis Reference Laboratory

Due to the competitive nature of hemostasis testing in the local lab market, Bloodworks has made the strategic decision to exit this area of testing and focus on other areas of esoteric testing that are consistent with our mission.

This change will be effective July 1, 2023

NOTE:  This change will affect all Hemostasis testing EXCEPT the following:

  1.  Genetic testing for Bleeding Disorders (i.e. Hemophilia A and B and VWD):  This testing will continue to be offered at our Eastlake (Hemostasis Genomics) Laboratory.  Please visit our Genomics Testing Laboratory page for information on how to order bleeding disorder testing.
  2. ADAMTS-13 Activity, Inhibition, and Antibody Testing:  This testing will continue to be offered as well.  Please visit our Platelet Immunology Laboratory test descriptions page for information on our  ADAMTS -13 testing and how to order it.

We continue to give you the best service in quick turn around times and consultation on difficult cases with testing performed through the Platelet Immunology and Genomics Testing laboratories. We appreciate your commitment to our other laboratory testing and we hope this will continue for many years to come.  If you have an questions or concerns, please contact the laboratory by phone at (206) 689-6594 or by email at [email protected]

As continuing patient care is our number one priority, we can recommend contacting the below laboratory to arrange for testing that we are no longer performing.
