Mobile Therapeutic Apheresis
Bloodworks WA Center for Apheresis Therapy (WACAT) provides adult and pediatric therapeutic apheresis services (mobile only) at many medical centers (and their outpatient infusion clinics) in King County as well as Snohomish County and Pierce County. Therapeutic apheresis services include therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), red cell exchange (RBCX), white blood cell depletion, platelet depletion, and extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP).
Peripheral Blood Cellular Therapy Product Collection
In addition, Bloodworks WA Center for Apheresis Therapy (WACAT) collects mobilized (G-CSF and/or Plerixafor) and non-mobilized leukapheresis products for both clinical and non-clinical use in compliance with Current Good Tissue Practices. Importantly, Bloodworks was granted FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) accreditation for peripheral blood cellular therapy product collection as an independent collection facility in 2018!
