ABO Incompatible Heart Transplant Titer (anti A or anti B)
|Determination of ABO incompatible heart recipient’s isohemagglutinins (anti-A/ Anti-B) titer. The titer results assist in decisions pre transplant to minimize immunologic consequences of ABO incompatible heart transplant.
|Serial test tube dilution methodology
|Isohemagglutinins Anti-A/Anti-B titers. Serial two-fold dilutions of serum are tested against A or B cells.Result is expressed as the reciprocal of the highest serum dilution at which (1+) agglutination is still present.
