Indications | This battery is used to investigate samples from patients that have been recently transfused and have clinical or serological indications that are suggestive of a delayed hemolytic transfusion reaction. |

Additional Test Information | Most testing will be performed on posttransfusion samples but some testing may be performed on pretransfusion sample if available. The battery of testing performed may include direct antiglobulin testing (DAT), ABO and D typing, RBC separation and complete phenotyping, antibody screening and identification if needed, and antibody elution with identification if needed. RBC genotyping may also be required. |
Sample Requirements | EDTA tube. Serum separator gel tube is not acceptable. |
